Terms & Conditions
I hereby acknowledge that I have read and understood all terms and conditions as described below and consent to the following:
1) I understand that I will be in an enclosed small room for a duration of up to and around one hour along with accompanying person(s). I understand that all participants must follow the instructions below:
Participants with a fear of small spaces (claustrophobia or other similar fears) who are not able to stay in a small room for a duration of up to and around one hour should disclose this prior to participation in the Game. We may not allow or terminate my participation for safety reasons. In case of participation without prior notice/disclosure, we shall not be liable for any personal injury or injuries, loss of life, or any other damages caused by such non-disclosure. To prevent fire, all fire lighting materials (including, but not limited to, lighters and/or matches) are not allowed in rooms. All fire lighting materials should be removed and kept in a separate area prior to participation in the Game or entering the room.
2) I understand that the Game can be physically and mentally strenuous and requires a certain degree of physical and mental wellbeing, ability, maturity, temperament, and other problem solving skills.
3) It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit to participate. Children, infants, or minors under the age of 16 are allowed to participate in the Game under the condition that legally authorised representatives or the accompanying adults undertake the responsibility of fully explaining the Game’s nature, precautionary measures, and its terms and provisions contained herein to any such children, infants or minors. If the group consists entirely of minors, then the person initiating the booking shall be deemed responsible for ensuring that the team understands these terms and complies with them.
4) I understand and agree that everything related to the Game (including, but not limited to, room interior design, furniture, any items located within rooms, clues or information to escape rooms etc.) must be kept confidential. I understand that I have civil and penal responsibility for any loss and expense incurred by us from any serious disclosure of any information which is the result of my negligence or intentional torts (including the result from a child, infant, or minor under my responsibility). In addition, I agree not to use any filming/recording equipment/mobile devices (including, but not limited to, mobile phones, cameras, paper, and writing instruments) to record any aspect of the Game.
5) We shall not be liable for any personal injury or injuries, loss of life, damage to or loss of personal property sustained by me or any child, infant or minor under my responsibility during the participation in the Game and/or whilst on our premises. Also, you shall indemnify us for any damage, loss and/or expense incurred by you in order to repair, rectify, and/or replace furniture, fixture, furnishing, and/or object on or forming part of the Premises caused by or contributed to by me or any child, infant or minor under my responsibility which is the result of my negligence or intentional torts.
6) I understand and agree that game hosts reserve the right to refuse entry to a game, or cancel a game early if any participants are suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs upon arrival at the premises, or consume any alcohol or drugs while on the premises, or fail to follow instructions by game hosts.
7) The game hosts will take a photo of you and your team after the game. Valley Escape retains ownership of these photos and can send these to any email addresses you provide. We reserve the right to upload these photos to our website or pages on social media sites. If you do not wish to consent to your photo being used in this way, please let us know.
8) I understand that if I am booking on behalf of others, it is my responsibility to make sure that my group is aware of and agrees to these terms.
9) From time to time, we may be required to cancel your booking at short notice, and we reserve the right to do so. We will attempt to reschedule your booking to a suitable date.
10) A booking cancelled up to 72 hours before the booking time can be rescheduled to a mutually agreed time; a refund will not be given. We will not reschedule or refund bookings cancelled with less than 72 hours' notice.
11) The escape room is priced according to the number of people playing. Payment can be made online at the time of booking, or we'll contact you for a deposit to secure the game slot if the 'pay in person' option is selected. Your game reservation will not be confirmed until we have received payment or a deposit for the game. Please ensure that you have provided us with valid contact details and check your spam folder if you do not receive an email from us after booking. If you have not paid and do not respond to our messages, we will not be able to accommodate your game. Our website may send you automated reminders of your booking, but your game will not be reserved without prior payment unless we confirm this in writing by email or text.
Game prices are confirmed on our FAQ and booking confirmation pages. We reserve the right to amend the pricing structure at any time.
11.2) We may from time to time run temporary promotions that result in a reduced game price. These can be redeemed instead of, but not as well as, any existing promotions if doing so would result in a lower game price. The game price will be based on any offers available at the time of booking and discounts are subject to a minimum game price of £40. We will require proof of eligibility for age or occupation related promotions. Promotions can be redeemed by quoting the relevant promotion code when paying the balance of the game cost at reception. All current promotions and codes are listed on our Promotions page.
12) We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
