FAQs

WHAT IS AN ESCAPE GAME?

An escape game, also known as an escape room, puzzle room, or exit game, is a game in which a team of players discover clues, solve puzzles, and complete tasks in a room in order to accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time.

WHO IS YOUR GAME SUITABLE FOR?

The game is played in teams. It has been optimised for teams of 4-6 players and we accept online bookings for teams of 2-8 people. The game content is suitable for all ages. We recommend that players are aged 10 or above to be able to engage with the majority of the puzzles but we have had many children younger than that who have played the game and enjoyed it. You don't need any particular knowledge in order to take part, and there is a range of skill and logic puzzles to complete. The game is suitable for all - there is nothing scary and there is no need to crawl or move heavy objects. Try to assemble a team with complimentary skills!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

At Valley Escape, our focus is on three key areas: immersive puzzles, attentive hosting and affordable prices.

IS THERE PARKING?

Yes - there is free parking onsite. Occasionally there are other events running simultaneously at the hall so spaces may not always be available at the venue.

AM I REALLY LOCKED IN?

No, we understand that some people can get a bit claustrophobic, or even need to use the toilet, so you are not really locked in.

WHAT IF OUR TEAM SIZE CHANGES?

If you have any 'maybe's in your team, it could be best to make a reservation for the number of confirmed players you have at the time of booking. If you want to add players on the day, you can then pay the balance due for these extra players on arrival.

HOW ACCESSIBLE IS THE ROOM?

The room is accessed directly from our main entrance at the rear of the hall. There is a single step from the entrance into the escape room. Once inside the room, there is no requirement to manoeuvre into small places, however some clues and puzzles may be placed at varying heights throughout the room.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?

While we have exclusive use of a large room, we are part of a community building. Occasionally, this might mean that car parking is restricted or there may be something going on in another part of the building while your game is taking place.

It's important to be on time for your game. Please aim to arrive ten minutes before the scheduled start time in order for us to complete a pre-game briefing. The game itself will last up to 65 minutes and we invite you to have a photo taken for our social media pages at the end of your challenge. If you arrive late, your game time may have to be reduced.

Please make sure that you are familiar with our Terms and Conditions. You're booking a live event so payments are not refundable but we will reschedule your booking if you give us at least 72 hours' notice.
