We're delighted to have been selected for Tesco's Community Grants scheme.
You can vote for our project between April and June at the stores in Ystradgynlais and Glynneath.

Details of the project are as follows:
We launched our non-profit Escape Room in June 2022 to address a lack of entertainment options in the local area. This coincided with the Welsh Government's 'Summer of Fun' scheme, when we offered 30 free sessions during the summer holidays. These sessions were quickly booked up, with over 100 young people from the local area benefiting, playing in teams with peers or in family groups.
The room was initially designed to be suitable for people of all ages, but we quickly found that it was particularly well suited for school aged children, with the puzzles and game format linking many aspects of the national curriculum (literacy, numeracy, science, geography, critical thinking, coordination skills and teamwork are all incorporated) in a fun and engaging way.
We've had enquiries from teachers with a view to bringing school groups to take part in the experience as they feel it would be beneficial. While the room is already well suited for this, we have been asked if we can tailor and adapt elements for different groups based on what is being studied at the time. This project will make this possible, with the room also offered at a subsidised rate for school groups.
